I am loving Photoshp CS4 Extended on my MacBook! It’s so much easier just to get on the MacBook and do everything than have to also log on to the desktop PC just to make minor changes to a photo.
A couple of weeks ago, I took this photo of Kida and added a touch of vignette, blur, and fixed the color a bit.

Here is the original:

A few weeks ago, my co-worker got the opportunity to meet and take photos with Ryan Sutter, the handsome and shy hunk who won on the Bachelorette with Trista some years back. I watched this episode on and off and was quite happy of Trista’s choice. I can barely remember all the drama but did remember seeing Ryan and how shy he appeared. The only other Bachelor show I watched was the one with the Navy doctor. I think the girl he chose was the right one for him but I’ve not heard updates or news on them. I hope that they are still together just because too many of them have failed terribly, especially the most recent one.
Anyway, just thought I’d share a cute photo of my co-worker with Ryan. I think this is as close as I’ll ever get to meeting a celebrity…vicariously through my co-worker. Btw, I was just surfing the Net and found that Ryan has a blog!!
Update on our house organzing: Yesterday, husband bought a wireless keyboard at the Mac store. It is the cutest little keyboard I’ve seen and it’s sooo thin too! I have not used it yet but husband did and he really likes it. Since our goal is to have a wireless network, husband started moving important data from the bulky PC to his MacBook (as a 2nd backup – we already have an external backup) but because there’s not enough space on his MacBook to hold all the data from the PC, we will soon invest in another external hard drive. Sometimes, I find it strange that we have all this backup stuff going on. I remember the days of simplicity…just a photo album or a few cassettes in a shoebox.

I’ve been trying to catch Kylie when she jumps and was surprised that I did it! She is in a phase where she jumps a lot, having recently learned the technique, so she is trying to get it done right and as you can see she enjoys it a whole lot too! That lacy purple dress was not a choice I made for her, but her own. she has an addiction to pretty lacy dresses, thanks to her older sister who is an addict herself.
Moving on. I took some videos of the Hmong Cultural Night event and will post it on youtube soon. It wasn’t as exciting as last years but I’ve always enjoyed going anywhere where there are cultural things going on, especially when there’s food!
I started a makeup review site at blogger.com. I have not posted any reviews yet because I don’t have the time but I will eventually. I have quite a few makeup and beauty purchases that I’d like to keep track of in a blog format. I also just figured out how to use iMovie to create videos so I might also include how-to’s on various techniques I use.
Husband and I are cleaning, organizing and remodeling our home. We cleaned out the closet and put in Elfa drawers. There is finally room in the closet!!! Everytime I open the closet door, I get excited. It’s so nice and neat in there now. The next project is our office desk. We are getting rid of the one husband made when he was in high school and replacing it with an Elfa desk system. We already have the new desk setup, just need to get rid of the old one and also figure out how we can get our network to work wirelessly.
My job has some pretty cool deals so I purchased Adobe Photohop CS Extended (student version) for my MacBook for a really great price. For what I use Photoshop for, this is all I need. It is shweet!! Husband wants it on his MacBook too so I’ll have to find out how I can get another one for him.
This year, I’m planning to take a couple of vacations outside of home. It’s been about three years since I’ve really gone anywhere for a vacation. Husband’s work is having a training in Las Vegas this June for a weeks so I’m hoping that the kids and I can also go out there for some desert fun. Then come fall, we are planning a trip to Disneyworld.

Kylie turns 2 today. I can’t believe that it’s been 2 years since she was born. I remember when she first came out, the doc put her on my chest and without a cry she looks at me for a few seconds then closes her eyes. She kept them closed for two weeks before she opened them again.
After work, husband and I took the girls to Chucky Cheese. I’ve never been to Chucky Cheese so I had no idea what I was going into. I knew it was a restaurant (pizza eatery) and a play place for kids but didn’t know they were both intertwined into one big mess! I was a bit surprised but who really cares about what I thought. Kida and Kylie loved the place to death, especially Kida. She enjoyed it so much she wants to go back tomorrow. I’m sure if Kylie could make sense out of all her gibberish words, she’d tell me the same thing. All in all, both girls came home exhausted and went right to bed without a fuss. Maybe I’ll consider going back tomorrow. NOT!
Speaking of tomorrow, there’s a couple of things planned: The Hmong Cultural Night hosted by the Hmong Student Association of Colorado and a house warming party by husband’s co-worker. BTW, I have to give credit to sunflowerslady for sending me the info on the Hmong Cultural Night otherwise I would have missed it completely! I’m hoping to record some dances and possibly anything else my Sony Cyber Shot can handle and put it on the youtube.

Seven years ago, Kida was born. She was so tiny and fragile. Today, I went to her first grade class to pass out cupcakes and punch and had her classmates sing “Happy Birthday” to her. I also surprised her with a pretty blue dress in her closet when we came home. She already celebrated her birthday (and Kylie’s too) last Sunday at my parents’ place and received more gifts than she needed but today is the actual day she was born so I just felt like I needed to make it extra special.
