My husband and I have been house hunting for quite some time now (going on 3 years just about). We enjoy checking out new builders in various locations. Our main focus is location. Even though we won’t be buying anytime soon, we’d like to get ideas as to where we’d feel the most comfortable both in home style and the location of the home. Currently, we live in Denver and are looking to move to either Parker and possibly around the Lincoln area. We’ve considered Castle Rock but that would be too far from husband’s job. I think we will fit into the Parker area just fine. BUT, we are also interested in possibly moving to Oregon. We’ve only visited Oregon once and loved it but know that just a one time visit will not be enough. We’ll probably stay in CO unless husband gets a decent job somewhere else.
Lately, I’ve been pretty depressed. The depression is probably from stress from my work and I’m trying my best to deal with it. I just don’t really feel like doing anything really. I simply just want to watch my two girls talk, sing, dance, and play around. My one-year-old, Kylie, is growing so fast, I don’t know what to do! I just want her to stay this small and cute forever. She’s learning to walk and she’s doing great. I’m very impressed at how she balances and turns. She’s very careful and tries not to fall. She also babbles a lot. In the car, she’ll talk forever about things that probably make sense to her. She talks from way down in her throat and makes these funny sounds with her tongue. It’s like she’s trying to get comfortable using her tongue. When she gets mad, she’ll sit herself on the floor, carefully roll to the side, then to her back and fuss. She does this because one time, she hit the floor too fast and too hard and hurt herself.
My 6-year-old, Kida, is addicted to the color blue. She had the flu last week and after husband took her to see her doctor, they dropped by the store to get her some Gatorade and she was so excited because she was going to get the blue color Gatorade. She has never had the blue Gatorade but made it seem like she’s had it before! At the Easter egg hunt a couple of weeks ago, she wanted all the blue eggs. When we dyed the eggs, she wanted to dye her eggs all blue. She has two Easter dresses that are blue and almost every weekend, she’ll wear her blue Cinderella dress. You get where I’m going here? Hehe. She is addicted to Cinderella because Cinderella’s ball gown was blue. Cinderella is her role model…I know, it’s not right but there’s a really good reason. Cinderella is not only beautiful, she’s smart. Snow White isn’t very smart because she ate the red poisonous apple, Aurora (from Sleeping Beauty) isn’t so smart because she touched the deadly spindle…on and on. Cinderella on the other hand, was hard working and of course, smart in that she kept the other glass slipper, just in case. She knew she could have a better life and her only ticket was the glass slipper. Smart girl huh?
Kida has recently fallen in love with the movie, “Enchanted”. For the last two weeks, she watched it morning and night. She knows the songs, the dances, and she also watches the making of “Enchanted”. She is just so in love with Robert and thinks the prince is too wimpy. Oh, and can’t forget, she loves the song by Carrie Underwood and the video of her after the credits.
Tomorrow (actually later today since it is 12:12 am now), I will be going on a trip with Kida. She’s going with her class to see a muppet show. So, I’ve taken the day off work to spend the day with her, her classmates, and have lunch at her school.
My plans to finish the MBA is put on hold. I don’t regret but I will regret if I miss the small moments with my two girls. I can never get them back.
